About Noctula Risk Intelligence

Engineered to Neutralize Financial Crime at Scale.

We build real-time financial crime detection and compliance software for banks, neobanks and payment companies.

Why we exist

The Systemic Deficit in Traditional AML Compliance

Financial institutions spend over $300 billion a year on compliance. Yet by UNODC estimates, less than 1% of illicit money flows are ever stopped.

Most rule engines judge each payment on its own, so the large majority of their alerts are false alarms. Analysts lose hours collecting data by hand while organised groups slip under fixed limits by splitting payments and using mule accounts.

Noctula was founded to change that: instead of alerting on single payments, it connects the people, companies and devices behind them, so a criminal ring shows up as soon as money starts to move.

How we build

Our Core Architectural Pillars

Entity-Centric, Not Transaction-Centric

We look at the people and companies behind payments, not single payments on their own. Devices, IP addresses, ownership chains and mule rings all sit on one graph.

API-First & Zero-Trust by Default

Customer data is protected with hardware-key sign-in, masking that lifts only when a person needs to see it, and encrypted connections everywhere.

AI Decisions with Human Approval

AI analysts group alerts, gather evidence and draft SARs. Every change of state needs a person, and filings need the MLRO's approval as well.

Explainable AI, Never Black Boxes

Every risk score and recommendation comes with a written reason that an examiner can follow from start to finish.

Who we work with

Institutions We Protect

Regulated firms that move money fast and cannot afford to get it wrong. See the regulations we cover.

Neobanks & Digital Banking

Screen instant payments without slowing them down, and stop fake identities and account takeovers as they happen.

Payment Service Providers (PSPs)

Catch card testing, payments split to dodge limits, and merchants working together on chargeback fraud.

Regulated Crypto Exchanges (VASPs)

Bring wallet screening, customer checks, Travel Rule records and sanctions screening into one place.

Cross-Border FinTech & Trade

Expose trade-based money laundering, shell company networks and unusual activity in free trade zones.
